The Nagatitan's existence during the Mesozoic Era, between 100 and 120 million years ago, places it in a time when the ecosystem's largest predator was a relative of the meat-eating dinosaur Carcharodontosaurus. However, at 26 feet long and 3.5 tons, this predator was no match for the mighty Nagatitan, which likely had little to fear in terms of predation. The discovery of this new species adds to the rich paleontological history of Thailand, with another dinosaur skeleton, Minimocursor phunoiensis, being deemed a newly discovered species in 2023.
